Slovenian or AZ hive

In 2017 we had two West Sound Beekeepers Association members add AZ hives to their apiaries, in 2018 we added one shed with two custom built hives to the club apiary.

The advantage to this style of hive is the ability to work from inside a shed out of the elements.

The disadvantage to this style of hive is that at this time it is a custom job requiring a greater cost, time commitment, and skill doing wood working.
