New Apiary Site

New Apiary Site (approximate)

Shed location
(Approximate)

With Stedmans closing, WSBA has had to look for a new site for our teaching apiary. Our new host is St. Antony of Egypt Episcopal Church in Silverdale. We are greatful to the parish and everyone who has helped make this possible.

A view of the site from the church's parking lot. The stakes on the raised portion above the drainage show the location.

The pink stakes mark the outer boundary of the site, and the green stakes mark where the shed will be. The artist's rendition shows how it could look when everything is filled in.

There is about 8 feet between the shed and the back line. The plan is to potentially build a lean-to here.

Behind the shed is about 5 feet of space for a walkway.

Standing on the site looking south shows a very open exposure with lots of sunlight. The cars behind the barn show where club members will be asked to park.

This is the shed purchased for the lot. There is lots of space in the rafters for storage, and there is a plan to build or buy shelves along the walls.
